Trevor's Writing Journal
Trev finished up his last week of summer camp on Friday. Along with the bouncing 5 year old, they sent a stack of papers, art projects and other goodies. This afternoon I took some time to go through them all and sort it out. I came across this writing journal that he must have made sometime over the last few weeks.
It was pretty cute and I wanted to share it with Tara who isn't here. This is the best method. Feel free to click through to see what's cooking in Trev's head.

This one is a little hard to read, but it says "Mommy, I love you" in the picture and then it says "Mommy visited me" in the text on the bottom. He must have made this picture the week after Tara received her last minute credentials for the DNC and was able to sneak down here for the weekend. Although he never mentions missing her, he screamed with glee when we picked her up.

School field trip to the Swan Boats

Last weekend we visited my family in NJ. My brother Paul (not Pole, although I am sure he appreciates that) gave Trevor a Hot Wheels car while we were there. It apparently made a big impression with him!

This is the Transformer character "Hot Shot". Note the action lines. This is apparently indicating not only the locations that parts move, but specific direction. His explaination lasted 5 minutes.

Trevor's birthday is coming up in the next few weeks. Along with the streamers on the sides and balloons along the top, apparently he is experiencing another birthday tradition. The tradition of assaulting the guest of honor with water balloons. This is not something that I am familiar with, but I am more than willing to take part if it means I can throw things at the boy! :)

And last but not least is Trevor's interpretation on us moving at the end of the month. A few minutes ago while moving laundry he said to me "Daddy moving is hard". To which I responded "Yeah, there are a lot of things to do to get ready". To which he puncuated with "Yeah, and I'm not doing any of them"
Zing. Back to packing....

I love it! Thanks for posting, it made me laugh.
Tara is gone?! She can't have gone far. Let her know that she's the winner of my contest for a free copy of Trying Neaira at http://www.tryingneaira.com. I sent a note to that effect but it was probably eaten up by a spam filter--all those courtesans and You're a Winner! flags.
