Omaha Steaks are made of Spam
A juicy, medium-well thumbs down to Omaha Steaks who has been calling my cell phone 2-3 times per day for the last month. I usually miss these calls, because I'm... oh, I don't know... working, but the few times I have picked it up, there's no one on the other end.
Eventually, I programmed the phone number to show up as "Spam" and stopped picking it up. Then I did some googling. Someone at 402-593-7107 has been phone-spamming people for years. I double-checked and my cell has been on the Do Not Call Registry since December 2003.
I picked up the spam call this afternoon and the woman (finally, someone was there) told me that a company can call me for 18 months after I've purchased something from them. Enjoy those phone-spammer steaks, Dave. Merry spammy Christmas. I'll tell you what... the steaks were good, but they weren't two-phone-calls-per-day good.
Stop phone-spamming your customers, Omaha Steaks or you will lose us. A week ago, if someone had asked where to get a good steak, I would have recommended your company. Today, I'll warn them about your legal-but-annoying customer contact policy. Oh, and I will not be buying from you again.

This same phone # is spamming my cell phone 4 times a day, starting early in the morning. I feel your pain
I got Omaha Steaks for New Years, and I just got my first call from that number...
*scared*
I to, have been recieving those annoying phone calls, but worse, as I work the graveyard shift, these calls occur durring the middle of my, "night." As I like the product and convienience that the company provides, I have decided to provide them with a "bogus" telephone number, in order to curtail further calls. Others may wish to do the same, as if enough people do this, the company MAY get the message.
I bought my husband some steaks for Christmas and still haven't eaten them. I googled the phone number that has been calling and found you. Thanks for filling me in. I believe I will take Brent's advice if I ever order again. I hope they ask for my "new" phone number. PS The steaks had better be worth it!!! Staci B
Thanks for the info! I bought from Omaha in January and got the first call today (2/22)! Of course I was working and did not pick it up. Since there was no voicemail I googled and found your comments. I think I"ll also label it 'GARBAGE!'
I just started getting those calls too. My
VOIP provider allows me to selectively forward calls to another number. Now whenever they call, the call is automagically forwarded back to them.
A couple of weeks ago I've been getting these calls. I initially answered, turned down the sales pitch, but now they're coming 3-4 times a day so I just ignore them. I'm curious how long this will last!?
