Do you know who I am wiping my feet on?

Your Mom.

This year "Your Mom" month has been a bit slow. Work being busy, yadda yadda. Anyway, Clay got us good and sent us this floor mat. Love it. Now the question is....in the last two days of Your Mom month do I leave it at this or retaliate?

This is STILL silly, but...

Akela Burning

When you combine a large fire with thirty-five Cub Scouts under age ten, the result is a game called Catch the Embers. Which can only end badly.

Cub Scout Bonfire

And with all of that, guess whose head a burning ember landed on? Oh yes.

Moody Sky

It's windy on Isle La Motte, and clouds are constantly drifting over the island toward mainland Vermont. We see a lot of rainclouds overhead, but they don't seem to let loose until they reach the mountains to the east. We just get a spectacular show and a smattering of drops.

Long Nails

So the thinking while building this house must have gone along these lines:

"If a one-inch nail is good for the job, then a six-inch nail is six times as good, right?"

Long Nail

I almost broke a window trying to pull one of these babies out of the wall.

Niagra at Night

Two weeks ago I spent the evening visiting Niagra Falls. I have never been there before and while they weren't as big as I thought they would be, they were still really cool. I haven't been to the US side, but looking at it from the Canadian side, I think the Canucks have the better view.

Ceci n'est pas une header beam.

Let this be a lesson to all of us.

Two 2x4s does not a header make.

Sagging Doorway

Especially not over a eight-foot span.

This is his "thoughtful" look. He said he felt like a spy.
