Twinkies

I guess I am a dorky science person for finding this so funny.
Check out these experiments done with the snack cake of endurance void of nutrition but love of my life.

Friday Five

I love answering questions. Thanks for coming back, Friday Five. You fill the void in my lack of interesting blogs.

1. What is your favorite type of literature to read (magazine, newspaper, novels, nonfiction, poetry, etc.)?
I will read everything and anything with the exceptions of tabloids and the newspaper. I love creepy short stories, biographies, novels, and nonfiction.

2. What is your favorite novel?
The Long Hard Road Out of Hell by Mailyn Manson. Actually a biography. Anthem by Ayn Rand. yeah that's a novel.

3. Do you have a favorite poem? (Share it!)
The Bhagavad-Gita is written in verse, so does that make it an epic poem? I find this piece of Hindu literature inspiring and new every time I read it. I probably hate almost all poetry.

4. What is one thing you've always wanted to read, or wish you had more time to read?
I have all these Ayan Rand books waiting to be finished and Geisha, A Life.
They have a comfy home on my desk in a neglected blanket of dust.

5. What are you currently reading?
Currently I am reading Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk, the author of Fight Club. It is really twisted and tons of fun to read, unfortunately one half hour at a time on my lunch break. I can tell that I love it already.

Friday Five

1. What is your most prized material possession?
My most prized possession is my autographed Marilyn Manson book.

2. What item, that you currently own, have you had the longest?
I had a Mickey Mouse doll when I was a baby and carried it everywhere. I have his head in my living room now.

3. Are you a packrat?
I guess. When my closet gets full, I purge the whole thing and start over.

4. Do you prefer a spic-and-span clean house? Or is some clutter necessary to avoid the appearance of a museum?
Both. I am determined to have my cake and eat it too.

5. Do the rooms in your house have a theme? Or is it a mixture of knick-knacks here and there?
We have every theme in our apartment. I wish we had more Nightmare Before Christmas themed stuff and more black.

Friday Five Is Back

It is Monday. I have been going batty looking for something interesting to look up. Hmmm..I thought, I wonder what happened to that Friday Five I enjoyed and if it was still on hiatus. It's back.

1. Explain why you started to journal/blog.
My in-laws, Tara and Dave, manage Liloia.com and made us part of their site. I blog on it to rant and rave, post pictures of stuff I like, and to keep in communication with them, as they live an unfortunate distance away.
2. Do people you interact with day to day or family members know about your journal/blog? Why or why not?
Most people I know are aware of our blogging, however, I doubt that anyone looks at it very often. Why or Why not? We are not very interesting, answers both questions.
3. Do you have a theme for your journal/blog?
Ummm..theme? Mish mash. Bryan and I are pretty random about what we post, just whatever comes to our inteset that day. Lately Emily has been the subject of discussion more than anything.
4. What direction would you like to have your journal/blog go in over the next year?
I am pretty happy with our array of random thoughts. It's a good expression of who we are. Random is our life. I wouldn't have it any other way.
5. Pimp five of your favorite journals/blogs.
Gee. I'm not really sure what I am being asked to do here. I know being a pimp is illegal and I am not interested in being incarcerated. Thanks though.

Now back to watching the Mudvayne DVD with my Sweetheart.

Emily's Adventure

A monumental event happened in Emily Love's life that she will remember forever. She had her first outing with Bryan and I. We went to...well, where else? Target!
