This is us and our friend the sailor. I'm a metal chick. Christine is Violent Jay from Insane Clown Posse.

Me showing off my legs!
Yes, we are still and always will be freaks.
The other night Bryan and I heard some of the Phil Donahue Show while flipping channels. One of my favorite musicians/icons was quoted. When asked years later, the question was, what would Marilyn Manson say to the kids of Columbine? Marilyn's response was, "I wouldn't say anything. I would listen because that's what nobody did." Panelists went on to discuss that this was the single most intelligent thing said about the whole event. Absolutely. I could not agree more.
Lots of cute things happened this week:
I saw a nun speeding in the parking lot.
A guy from the flavor department came up to me and said as I was leaving, "Looks like something significant is going on in there." (Referring to my tummy.)
A grown woman was laughing and skipping down the street with a plastic tablecloth draped over her on a rainy day.
My coworker's son asked if there is Grandparent's Day and Mother's Day, "When is sibling's day?"
Bryan read me a small article about a jet called Fokker just to make me laugh over and over at the name of the plane.
My mom brought up the time when my grandfather got tired of people parking by his driveway and painted "NO PARKING DRIVE-A-WAY" all over in white, spelling it the way he pronounced it.
My mom also brought up the time when we were in South Carolina and she ordered the famous southern soda pop calling it Mr Pimp.
I learned that Kenny Rogers has a foul mouth.
Someone slid the name label of a coworker's lab door out and placed it on the ladies' room door. Everyone congratulated him and asked questions about his new office, which he had no clue.
I saw the HUGEST bag of mac and cheese mix in the flavor pilot plant.
I played with my baby by turning on the singing Veggie Tales asparagus, where he/she kicked when the music played and stopped when the music stopped.
My favorite thing was that Bryan and I went out every night that it rained this week and stayed home the night it did not rain. I loved that.
Is there any cute stuff you noticed recently?
Here is an update on our baby:
Bryan and I went to the doctor yesterday and we had another good news visit.
The baby's heartbeat sounds fine. The size of my tummy is perfect. I have gained 23 pounds total so far. This is good for my size, considering I started out less than 100. All my bloodwork came back fine, i.e. no genetic birth defects, gestational diabeties, or any other bad stuff. I am slightly anemic but my vitamins are fulfilling the need just fine. The baby is enjoying his/herself kicking and punching my tummy. Bryan likes to feel our baby whenever he can. When I get nervous about low activity, eating spicy stuff makes the baby move a whole bunch. "Don't try that again, lady!"
He/she also enjoys sitting on my nerve and my legs feel so on fire that I cannot move. I take lots of walks to nowhere. And I get funny looks when I use the freight elevator at work all by myself. The ladies said I should try sleeping on my back sometimes. I have to announce everytime I leave the room so they know where to find me if they get worried or if I have an emergency. I yell, "I'm going the ladies' room," or "I'm going to mass spec lab," or "I'm going to the vending machine for tea and/or snacks." This is awfully nice of my coworkers to look out for me and I am sure it must be annoying or uninteresting at times to know everytime I go to the potty.
I feel huge but good. Now we could start counting backwards. 26.5 weeks so far, 13.5 to go. Maternity leave starts in 6 weeks. I have tons of fabric, markers, pencils, and glue. I hope to quilt a bit and finally organize all our wedding photos from last July into a nice scrapbook. In the middle of November, we will take pregnancy family portriats at Target to remember how cute we are. Can't wait to be parents!
We went to our first tattoo convention yesterday. It was better then I ever imagined! We spent at least seven hours there and easily could have spent more. We saw some of the greatest tattoo artists in the buisiness. We met some great and very interesting people. Our day was filled with shopping for baby clothes, tattoo artists, and just cool stuff in general.
I am also proud to say I was present for Sean's first tattoo! Sean and the artist got me worried when they looked like they were going to pass out. I don't know who was more nervous Sean or the artist.

I also am the owner of new art!

Tattoos by Eric Perfect I highly recommend him. He is an excellent artist and very amusing too! I will be going back to him for sure. His wife, Valerie Velvet (professional piercer and tattoo model), is also very nice and took Christine out to dinner while I was getting my tattoo.
All around an excellent day! See you at the next convention!
In 2003, our favorite Canadian pop vocalist will be launching her own fragrance. I can hardly wait. The essence of Celine Dion in a bottle for me to spray on my body. Wow, now we could be Celine for a day, annoying and cheesy. And not nearly rich enough.
For those of you who don't know, it is so hard for celebrities to have their own fragrance. Jennifer Lopez's Glow by J.Lo, for example, took thousands of tries. What happens is that one day she decides, she is not rich enough. Fragrance companies bid on who gets to have her name on a product she will have little to do with. Several steps later, Jennifer gets to tell people what hard work it was to smell thousands of formulas a perfumer made for her over and over. All Jennifer had to do was smell.
Probably right now, Celine is smelling. Keep up the good work, Celine, to me you will always stink.
By the way, my favorite celebrity fragrance is Debbie Gibson's Electric Youth by Revlon.
